Benfieldside Primary School aims to provide a welcome, secure and caring environment in which all pupils and staff have the opportunity to succeed and to learn. By recognising individual needs and qualities, we aim to develop mutual respect, self-discipline and the highest possible standards of academic achievement. We all uphold the British Values of democracy, rule of law, individual liberty, and tolerance of different faiths and beliefs.
Respect, Perseverance and Happiness are our school values. Please be aware that pupils with continuous coughs will be sent home to self-isolate as per government advice. Please assist us in limiting the potential spread of Coronavirus by not sending pupils to school if they have a persistent cough or high temperature. As of 18/3/20 all before and after school clubs, trips and visitors are cancelled in our effort to abide by social distancing advice. This means we can not host volunteers or students at the current time. Best wishes.
June 2019: We are now proud members of the PSHE Association and look forward to developing our Curriculum and support for pupils in partnership with them. Thank you for completing our 2019 Parent/Carer Questionnaire and for your continued support. You can view the Questionnaire outcomes on our website. View transition information for our new starters on our website.
As you may be aware, schools can open in September without most of the covid-19 rules that we have learned to live with over the last 18 months. However, please be aware that we must still follow guidance in keeping the spread of Covid-19 to a minimum. This means that although we can open in September without bubbles, we will still need to be vigilant.
